Background
LatamCent helps U.S. companies build remote teams in Latin America without the friction of traditional hiring. It recruits vetted, full-time professionals across engineering, go-to-market, customer success, finance and operations, and can handle contracts, payroll and compliance for every hire.
Luiz Cent founded LatamCent in 2023. The company works mainly with funded B2B SaaS and AI companies, plus venture capital and private equity firms hiring across their portfolios. More on the company and team is on the About LatamCent page.
Services and engagement models
LatamCent offers several ways to hire. All of them are explained on the services page and in the FAQ.
- Talent as a Service (staff augmentation): full-time professionals work U.S. hours as part of the client’s team, while LatamCent handles payroll, contracts, compliance and replacements. Most clients choose this model. For engineering teams, see nearshore software development.
- Direct hire (retained): LatamCent works as an extension of the client’s in-house recruiting team.
- Direct hire (contingency): no win, no fee. The client pays only when a hire is made.
- Contractor of record: LatamCent manages contracts, payroll, taxes, legal and compliance for the hire. About 99% of clients use it.
- Candidate vetting: skills, English and culture-fit evaluation before the client sees anyone.
- Replacement guarantee: a 60-day replacement guarantee on placements.
- Post-hire support: onboarding help and retention follow-up.
How hiring works
- Kickoff: a call to define the role, followed by a written interview plan. Sample plans are in the interview plans library.
- Vetting: role-specific recruiters run English tests, technical or role-play exercises, reference checks and background checks.
- Shortlist: vetted candidates usually arrive within one week. The client interviews 3–5 finalists.
- Offer: agreements go out within 24 hours of the client’s decision. Most roles close in about three weeks (roughly 21 days), compared with industry averages of 45–60 days.
- Onboarding: LatamCent handles contracts and payroll, and stays in touch through shared Slack channels.
Data on time-to-fill is in how fast a SaaS role can be filled.
